The new home to Knox County government offices is nearing completion.

The facility, the former Commercial Bank and Union National Bank headquarters on North Main Street in Barbourville, has underwent a multimillion dollar renovation to house the county's offices. The current courthouse, constructed in 1963, no longer adequately served the needs of the county government. That building will eventually be demolished to make way for a new judicial center.
